The all-new version of the Audi Q7 is expected to be available in the spring of 2020, and buyers will find the vehicle well worth the wait. The popular SUV has seen a radical update for the new model year that is sure to impress.

Since its introduction in 2005, the Audi Q7 has been a leader in styling and the 2020 model is no exception. Audi has added new design and technology to the Q7 that brings it in line with the rest of the Audi vehicle lineup.

Audi is continuing to offer three grades of trim levels with the Premium level starting at a base price of around $61,975, the second level Premium Plus that has a base price of around $64,795, and the top of the line Prestige model that has a base price of around $72,195.

Audi Q7 Exterior

The exterior starts the redesign with a new stronger looking grille with vertical bars that dominate the face of the vehicle. The A7 has lighting features that make the vehicle stand out in a crowd with HD Matrix headlights available and LED laser light taillights. Standard wheels are 19 inches, with 20-, 21-, and 22-inch wheels as available options.

Audi has announced that the 2020 Audi Q7 will be equipped with a turbocharged 3.0-liter V6 engine that develops 335 horsepower and 369 pounds of torque, an increase over previous model years while maintaining the same engine displacement.

The Q7 is designed with the benchmark Quattro all-wheel-drive system and an eight-speed automatic transmission that delivers smooth shifting and an exceptional driving experience. The Quattro all-wheel drive is a feature that makes this vehicle an enjoyable ride that is enhanced by the anti-sway bar air suspension system with its rear-wheel steering design.

The interior design includes three rows of seating, with the second row allowing for adjustable seating for all three of the seating positions. The front seats feature eight-way power adjustments for driver and passenger comfort.

Even with the three rows of seating, the Audi Q7 still delivers very spacious cargo capabilities. The third row has standard power-folding seats to provide even more cargo area.

The instrument panel redesign is particularly stunning with most of the dials and knobs in previous models giving way to touchscreens. The vehicle now has a center dual-screen setup with a 10.1-inch upper touchscreen and a lower touchscreen that measures 8.6 inches. The driver faces a 12.3-inch screen with all necessary performance information. The instrument panel is powered by the Audi Virtual Cockpit with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto as standard features.

An air vent crosses the entire top of the dashboard. A sunroof, three-zone climate control and of course, premium sound systems are standard features on the 2020 Audi Q7.

The interior is of course finished and stylish as you would expect, with plenty of headroom and sleek leather seating.

Safety Features of the Audi Q7

All three of the Audi Q7 model levels include an impressive array of safety features with Electronic Stability Control with an Off-Road Mode, Traction Control, and Secondary Collision Brake Assist. All models feature the Audi Anti-Locking Brake System with Brake Assist and Electronic Brake Pressure Distribution.

Cruise Control with deluxe features also comes standard as well as Bluetooth wireless technology to connect mobile devices and the HomeLink garage door opening system. Tire pressure monitoring and an electromechanical parking brake are also standard features.

Upper model levels are enhanced with additional state of the art safety features such as the exclusive Audi Pre Sense Basic and Pre Sense City features that keep you safe under any driving conditions. The upper trim levels also offer Audi Side Assist, Audi Pre Sense Rear, Rear Cross Traffic Alert and a top view camera system that keeps you informed of the position of all vehicles in the area. To further assist you in driving, the Audi Parking System has a rearview camera and front and rear acoustic sensors. Navigation and assistance systems are also included on these model levels.

The vehicles are even equipped with rear fog lights, automatic LED headlights, LED taillights, and LED turn signals illuminated in the exterior side-view mirrors.
